Paul Baker joined Wilkinson Eyre Architects in 1990. He was promoted to Associate in 1997 and has been a Director since 1999. He has over twenty five years architectural experience across a very broad spectrum of building types. Since 1995 he has headed an arts-based team working on both projects and numerous competition entries. Recent projects include the Singapore Gardens by the Bay, won in an international design competition and featuring two cooled conservatories a total area under glass in excess of 16000m2. Other projects include the Alpine House and an extension to the Jodrell Laboratory at the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, Paul was also involved in a series of projects for the Science Museum, including the recent designs for the ‘ Museum of the Future’. Past works at the Museum includes the award-winning Challenge of Materials Gallery, the Making of the Modern World Gallery, and The Wellcome Wing.
