Barry Hughes, Vice President at HOK and leads the mixed-use design studio. His design experience includes diverse projects such as Westfield London, the British Embassy in Morocco, train stations in Japan and Europe, as well as masterplans for major schemes in the Middle East. Recent experiences have seen him leading the design of large scale mixed use developments, combining retail, entertainment, residential, office, hotel, and other uses on three continents. Based in London, his experience ranges from projects in the Americas, Russia, Asia, as well as the UK and Europe. Barry is passionate about creating dynamic architecture with a fundamental understanding of the urban realm. When not in the studio, Barry is an avid cyclist who represented the United States at the 2008 Masters World Cycling Championships.
