Robert is an elected councillor for the Merseyside NHS trust and president emeritus of Liverpool Architectural Society. He is Reader in Architecture at Liverpool John Moores University and editor of DIY City. A champion of patient-led design in healthcare, Robert’s varied experience includes design consultancy for the Autism Centre of Excellence and extensive research into patient experiences in mental health facilities. He has also served as president of the RIBA Merseyside branch and has been a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. In addition, Robert has contributed editorial for The Architect’s Journal and Urban Design Journal.
