Director, Circa Architecture

Robert Morris-Nunn is regarded as one of Tasmania's most adventurous architects. He has practised in Tasmania for over 25 years, and has taken a special interest in the social impact of architecture and collaborative design processes. The basic thrust of his work has been to explore new approaches towards a more enlightened, socially humane architecture. Several of his ground breaking buildings have received considerable international interest, most recently in the field of ecologically sustainable design, where the Forest Eco Centre attracted critical acclaim from diverse sources both here and in the US and Europe. More recently the IXL Redevelopment and Saffire have also achieved significant international exposure. He has won over 40 state and 3 national architectural awards, his work has been illustrated in international publications and he has been invited to lecture at many Australian and international conferences about his work. He was recently given the President's Prize for his contribution to architecture in Australia and has been appointed as Adjunct Professor at the School of Architecture, University of Tasmania.
