David Levitt is an architect with an MA and diploma in Architecture from the University of Cambridge (1961). In that same year he became a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects. He received the OBE in 1985. He has always specialised in every aspect of housing design with a particular emphasis on housing standards in both the private and social housing sectors. As well as periodic consultancy with Levitt Bernstein he has various independent consultancy roles with other Housing Associations and private developers. He is currently chairman the Housing Group of the Royal Institute of British Architects.
