Olson Kundig Architects
One of the most recognized architects in North America, Seattle-based Tom Kundig is the recipient of some of the United States’ highest accolades, including the National Design Award in Architecture Design from the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, an Academy Award in Architecture from the American Academy of Arts and Letters; and in 2010 was the recipient of the World Architecture News “House of the Year.” Most recently, Kundig was named to the Wallpaper*150, a list of people who have contributed meaningful artistic creations to the world over the past 15 years. Kundig lectures extensively including recent and notable lectures at the Royal Academy of Art in London, and as part of the exhibit “Global Ends” at TOTO Gallery MA in Tokyo where Kundig was the sole North American representative. With projects ranging from huts to high-rises, his work is found across the globe. He is regularly included in publications as wide ranging as The New York Times, Architectural Record, The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, Architectural Digest, A+U and Fast Company, among others. His most recent book, Tom Kundig: Houses 2, is published by Princeton Architectural Press.
