Benedetta Tagliabue is a renowned Italian architect established in Barcelona for more than twenty years. Born in Milan, she completed her studies in Architecture in Venice and New York. In 1991 started her collaboration with Enric Miralles with whom she founded Miralles Tagliabue EMBT studio in 1994. She just completed the Spanish Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo 2010 and received the prestigious RIBA International Award for Best International Building last May. Among her achievements, she completed the Scottish Parliament, which is now one of Scotland’s most visited buildings, the Park Diagonal Mar, the market and quarter Santa Catarina in Barcelona etc. She currently directs the studio EMBT, whose work has been exhibited in MOMA, Centre Pompidou and in many others monographic exhibition around the World.
Benedetta Tagliabue is constantly teaching and giving lectures in architectural forums or universities all over the world; this year has been teaching in Columbia University. Miralles Tagliabue EMBT has a main office in Barcelona and a branch in Shanghai, operating all over the world.
