Sean trained as a designer and furniture maker before starting the small studio workshop with Sir Terence Conran from which Benchmark has grown. Over twenty years he has built up a respected team of craftsmen as well as one of Britain’s most technically advanced furniture workshops. Sean is an outspoken proponent of sustainable timber sourcing and the regeneration of the British furniture industry.

His innovative approach to modern furniture design has made Benchmark one of Britain's most successful manufacturers of bespoke furniture.

This year, for the first time, Benchmark Furniture exhibited at Milan's Salone Internazionale del Mobile, a platform that will allow the company to launch its products to a worldwide audience.
