Donald has worked for over twenty years in the culture sector in the UK. His work is at the forefront of exploring and developing models for the role culture can play in the regeneration and economic development of cities and communities. He works extensively in the cultural, tourism and business sectors both in UK and internationally. This includes acting as an advisor on cultural policy development and making connections with wider contexts including business improvement districts, architecture, urban planning and the built environment. He is a member of the senior client teams delivering the Tate Modern project and Transforming Tate Britain. His lectures, teaching and writing reflects his central motivation to develop the meaningful role that museums, artists and creative practitioners have to play in our everyday lives in an ever increasing variety of places, spaces and situations.
