Avtar is an Associate at RSHP and has worked with the practice for over 24 years. He is currently the project architect for One Hyde Park, a luxury apartment building on London's Knightsbridge, which he has been in charge of since its conception. It is currently nearing completion.

Avtar's was the Associate in charge of the New Law Courts, the Nieu Zuid Masterplan and the Bolivarplaats projects in Antwerp and the Lloyd's Register of Shipping in London. Previously, he has been involved on a number of key projects such as, Channel 4 Headquarters, Strasbourg Court of Human Rights, Airports at Heathrow, London and Madrid.

Avtar has extensive experience through involvement in a multitude of projects ranging from competition design, urban-planning, concept design through to detail design, client liaison, together with, material & energy technologies and sustainable design.

Avtar is also a Director of The Thames Wharf Charity and sits on its Council of Management. The practice is entirely owned by the charity, which receives an annual dividend from the practice and distributes this for charitable purposes at the direction of the employees of the practice.
