Renzo Piano Building Workshop
Born in 1960, he studied architecture at the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. After working in London from 1987-1990, he joined the Paris office in 1990 and worked as lead architect on the Potsdamer Platz project in Berlin. In 1997 he became a partner in the Buiding Workshop.
He was partner in charge of the new masterplan of Columbia University in New York, for The Modern Wing of the Art Institute in Chicago and Central St. Giles project in London. He is now in charge of the Shard and London Bridge Quarter in London.
