The WAN Product Awards, in partnership with ARUP are a unique, worldwide award scheme to showcase new and innovative products, materials and details available from the construction industry. Competitions and awards are an intrinsic element of products being specified for building projects. The value of an award is determined not only by the quality of the jury panel but also by the number and calibre of participants.
An international panel of experts, including names such as ARUP, Will Alsop and Alastair Lansley, architect of London’s St Pancras will be appointed to review the products and select first a long list of 25, then a short list of six and finally a winner: Building Product of the Year.
The only pre-requisite is that all entries must have been used in a live project. WAN is accepting nominations from architects, engineers and developers, and by way of thanks for it the chance to win an iPod. A product supplier may enter without being nominated as long as they can show use of the product in a live situation.
The award celebrates new technology and will raise the profile of the best available products through WAN’s global audience - the largest available audience of architects, developers and industry professionals on the planet.
All entries for the award will go into an exclusive database accessed by top architects from around the world. Selected products will also be highlighted in WAN’s weekly News Review email.
