HLMGreenBuild demonstrates design and sustainability integration with an award for its Passivhaus
Sustainability consultants HLMGreenBuild, alongside its architect HLM, has won the rural category at this year’s UK Passivhaus Trust Awards for its design of Tigh na Croit, demonstrating how high design quality and low energy can be achieved to deliver a sustainable and aesthetic scheme. The awards recognise Passivhaus buildings across the country that are designed to meet the most stringent energy standards in two categories – urban and rural. They also celebrate the progress that has been made in the design of Passivhaus, with a focus on comfort and appearance as well as sustainability. Tigh na Croit, located in the Scottish Highlands, is one of the most northerly certified Passivhaus schemes in the UK.
