Stonehenge Visitor Centre back on

English Heritage has confirmed that they will be seeking private funding for the new Visitor Centre at Stonehenge. The Government recently retracted its decision to donate £10m of the total £27m cost of the project during a spate of budget cuts in the arts and culture sector. A statement issued following a meeting of the English Heritage Commission yesterday said: “Having worked for so many years to achieve the desperately needed transformation of Stonehenge, commissioners are very anxious that every possible avenue is pursued.” View Denton Corker Marshall’s approved plans here.
