Alejandro Bulaevsky, a 26-year old lighting designer who exhibited much promise was found dead in his Lower Manhattan apartment Monday evening.
The cause of death is under investigation.
Bulaevsky, studied film at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and lighting design at Parsons New School of Design. He worked on lighting projects for hotels around the world including numerous ones in New York and Las Vegas. He worked for Lumen Architecture and Matirical, and most recently on the new restaurant Tamirind Tribeca.
Architect Will Chapman who knew Bulaevsky, told the New York Times “He was very hands on. We are all mourning and we’re also saying, ‘What are we going to do here?’ ”
