Swanke Hayden Connell Architects opens Shanghai office

New York-based firm Swanke Hayden Connell Architects (SHCA), has opened a new office in Shanghai.

The firm has nine offices including ones in London, Moscow, Istanbul, Washington, D.C., Paris, Sheffield and Miami.

Located in the Jinqiao district of Pudong, the office will support SHCA’s projects in China and the Asia‐Pacific region. Current work includes the 110,000-square meter (1.2 million –square-foot) Jinqiao Biyun 90 Hotel and Office Complex, for which construction is scheduled to begin this year.

SHCA Architectural Principal Scott Springer, AIA, will oversee the operations of this new office, which is projected to have 10 employees by year’s end.
