LTL Architects win Lawrence Israel Prize

Awarded by FIT/SUNY for contributions in the field of interior design, the 2010 Lawrence Israel Prize has been won by New York’s LTL Architects. The prize recognises outstanding architects and designers so that they may then share their ideas and experiences.

Founded in 1997, the creativity of the LTL's partners Paul Lewis, Marc Tsurumaki and David J. Lewis has earned them accolades including a Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award for Interior Architecture and a James Beard Award for Outstanding Restaurant Design. They have also been featured in the U.S. Pavilion at the 2004 Venice Architecture Biennale and cited by Architectural Record as one of ten firms representing a ‘Vanguard in Contemporary Architecture.’

LTL’s Lawrence J. Israel Prize Lecture, titled ‘Opportunistic Play’, will be given on Friday April 16th 2010 at 6:00 in the Katie Murphy Auditorium of the Fashion Institute of Technology. No reservations required, admission is free and open to the public.
