Nikken Sekkei to design Hanoi’s national history museum

Japan’s Nikken Sekkei and the project management unit (PMU) have signed a contract to provide consultancy services for the building and designing of the National History Museum in Hanoi.

At the signing ceremony, Akihico Hamada, Nikken Sekkei’s Executive Manager said that the important project would help strengthen the friendship between Vietnam and Japan and added that his company will use solar energy to mitigate carbon dioxide and propose state-of-the-art technology for the project.

The Prime Minister approved the national history museum construction project in December 2006 and assigned it to the Ministry of Construction as the main investor.

The museum will be located in Friendship Park in Xuan Dinh and Co Nhue communes of Tu Liem district, Hanoi.
