Planning Strategist Chuck Siconolfi joins Perkins+Will

Perkins+Will has announced the addition of healthcare planner and strategist Chuck Siconolfi to the practice. Siconolfi, who joins the firm as a principal and brings three decades of experience to Perkins+Will, will support clients serviced by the firm’s New York, Boston, and Washington, D.C. offices. Siconolfi will bolster clients’ success in a rapidly changing healthcare landscape by informing design solutions with key market insights, trends, and industry forecasts.

“Chuck has demonstrated time and time again his ability to anticipate clients’ needs and deliver tailored, out-of-the-box planning and design services that address those needs,” says Perkins+Will’s Global Healthcare Practice Leader Jean Mah.  “His understanding of how healthcare systems align operations and changing care models with real estate and facilities’ needs is invaluable.”

“It brings me great satisfaction to join an architecture and design firm of Perkins+Will’s calibre, and whose healthcare practice has long been an industry leader,” Siconolfi says. “I look forward to contributing to the firm’s success, relying on my 30 years of experience to help clients navigate what can often be a complicated technical and regulatory process of planning and design.”

Siconolfi most recently directed the global healthcare design practice at a Top 10 healthcare architecture firm, during which time he was responsible for developing programmatic and design strategies while integrating health-specific information technology. He has led the design of approximately 70 academic medical centres, specialty hospitals, community hospitals, and other health facilities, including Harlem Hospital Center in New York, New York; Rhode Island Hospital Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island; Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland; Los Angeles County and USC Medical Center in Los Angeles, California; and The Royal Infirmary of London in London, England. He also led the development of urban planning associated with these facilities. Siconolfi is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), an Emeritus member of the America College of Healthcare Architects, and a LEED Accredited Professional.
