AC Martin Partners releases statement on the passing of Kenneth Lewis

Kenneth R. Lewis, AIA, LEED-AP passed away on Tuesday this week. The following statement was released by Christopher C. Martin, FAIA, Chairman and CEO at AC Martin Partners:

“It is with deep sadness that AC Martin shares the news that Ken Lewis passed away on November 18th, at the age of 58, after a courageous and sustained battle with cancer. Ken, former President, Chief Operating Officer, Board Member and Design Director, joined AC Martin in 1982 and was an integral part of the firm’s growth and success over the past 32 years.

“A consummate Architect, he was a builder, an artist, an engineer and a teacher. He cared deeply about the environment, and his passions were wide ranging - from fly fishing to electronics and circuitry, opera to carpentry, ceramics to gardening. Above all else, he cherished his family and his friends. He was a mentor to everyone here at AC Martin and helped to shape and further the careers of many of us.

“We will miss him terribly, and our thoughts are with his wife Patricia and his family.”
