SPARK submits sprayed concrete residential tower in Lagos for planning

A 22-unit residential tower in Lagos, Nigeria has been submitted for planning with the intention to begin construction in the second quarter of 2014. Designed by SPARK, the structure is located in Victoria Island and will provide far-reaching views for residents of the 3-bed, 4-bed and penthouse apartments.

Each residential unit is focused on a generous living area with all surrounding spaces centred on a pre-fabricated kitchen hub. The two top floors of the tower are dedicated to duplex penthouses with rooftop terraces.

SPARK has opted for sprayed concrete curved shells for the Ramzi Towers project to minimise costs and build time while providing water-proofing, air-tightness and fire and solar protection. This process also enables the team to achieve the curved facade designed to minimise wind resistance.
