Article 25 charity auction raises £90,000

Last week Article 25 hosted its annual 10 x 10 auction, selling off original artworks by architects, designers and artists for a charitable cause. The event, sponsored by Argent, was held in the lobby of Central Saint Martins, the winning venue of the 2012 WAN AWARDS Education Sector. Scores of attendees sipped on whisky cocktails while studying the pieces on display before the live auction commenced.

As it does every year, Article 25 selected an area of London - this year was East London - and overlaid it with a 10 x 10 grid to create 100 separate squares. Each portion was then given to an artist, architect or designer who was challenged to create an artwork to sell off for the charity. In total, the event raised a fantastic £90,000 which will go towards funding Article 25’s work across the world. More information about the non-profit can be found here.
