2 million sq ft mixed-use scheme on London's Greenwich Peninsula to be designed by OMA

OMA has been selected for a major regeneration project in London near the O2 Arena. 500m from the River Thames, the 19-acre regeneration site of Morden Wharf is due to be transformed into a 2 million sq ft mixed-use development. The developers are Cathedral Group PLC with Development Securities PLC.

Richard Upton, Chief Executive of Cathedral Group said: “This is a world-class site. One of very few significant London riverfronts left for major regeneration. We needed a world-class architect and we found one in OMA.

“We were impressed by their significant experience of masterplanning major regeneration sites, and their specific experience of waterfront development.
