Libeskind to design Vanke Pavilion for Milan Expo 2015

At a ceremony last Friday, the Chinese company China Vanke Co., Ltd., signed an agreement for a corporate pavilion at the Milan Expo 2015 - the first corporate participant agreement of the Milan Universal Exposition.

At the same ceremony Daniel Libeskind was named architect of the Vanke Pavilion. Mr. Libeskind’s New York and Milan offices, Studio Daniel Libeskind and Libeskind Architettura, will work together on the project.

Studio Daniel Libeskind and China Vanke Co., Ltd., are already collaborating closely on a project in China - the Zhang Zhidong and Modern Industrial Museum in Wuhan, which will be completed at the end of 2014. The museum is one of the country’s only privately-funded, non-government-sponsored cultural development projects for the public.
