One Beam of Light project invites photographers to capture images with one source of light

An exciting new initiative has been launched by lighting specialists Havells Sylvania to raise the profile of lighting in the design industry. One Beam of Light is a global photographic project which invites amateur or professional photographers to capture images which focus on a single source of light.

After a jury session with some esteemed panellists - including Keith Bradshaw of Speirs + Major, Matt Clark from United Visual Artists and Gerd Pfarre of pfarre lighting design - the best eighty photos will be displayed around the world in a touring exhibition and made into a photographic book.

Visit the One Beam of Light website for more information and make sure you submit your entries in RGB format (below 8MB in size) by 15 December 2012 to qualify. Keep an eye on Twitter at #onebeamoflight for updates.
