Art of Building photography competition to raise funds for schools in Haiti

Hurricane and earthquake-resistant schools in Haiti are to benefit from an annual photography company hosted by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) in association with Article 25 who are organising the scheme in Haiti. The Art of Building contest is an international digital photography competition is open for entries and encourages amateur and professional photographers to capture ‘imaginative and thought-provoking’ images of the art of building. Each photographer can enter up to three separate images and deadline for submissions is 25 July 2012.

The winner will receive a prize of £2,000 and will be selected from a shortlist of twelve by public vote. Each of the shortlisted images will be auctioned to raise much-needed funds for the Article 25 scheme in Haiti. CIOB Art of Building manager, Saul Townsend, added: “The Article 25 initiative aims to return Haitian children to safe schools and set a blueprint for future school buildings throughout the country. By taking part in the competition, this year’s entrants could find their photography and vision being used to touch someone else’s life.”
