Angry Birds Land opens in Finland

The first authorised Angry Birds theme park has opened in Finland, designed with the makers of highly addictive app ‘Angry Birds’, Rovio Mobile. An unofficial park with references to the game is already in operation in China but the Finnish equivalent is the first authorised theme park of its type.

Angry Birds Land has been styled on the successful app which has been downloaded more than 500 million times and incorporates various details of the game, designed by playground equipment specialist Lappset Group.

Park Manager Miikka Seppala commented: “The opening of Angry Birds Land in Sarkanniemi is a really big deal for us. The theme and design of Angry Birds is internationally renowned, so we are delighted to welcome visitors from around the globe to experience the product for themselves. The area is definitely a must see destination for millions of Angry Birds players but also a great experience for those who are not yet familiar with the game.”
