Warsaw tower by Daniel Libeskind tops out

Daniel Libeskind’s Zlota 44 Tower in Warsaw, Poland celebrated its topping out with an impressive firework display last week. The 54th floor has now been completed marking the end of structural work. Towering to 190m in height, the residential building for Orco Property Group overcame mid-construction disruption after its building permit was suspended however this was reinstated in October 2010 and Bank Pekao S.A. has now confirmed that 100% of project financing has been found.

Speaking on the scheme’s development, Libeskind commented: “I am thrilled that Zlota 44 has reached its apex. It is not every day that such a major building is built in a great city. As you know, Warsaw has always been close to my heart - a city which I have known since childhood. I have no doubt that Zlota 44 represents the renaissance of Poland’s capital and is an example of optimism and freedom that speaks not only to its inhabitants but also to the world at large. Wszystkiego najlepszego, moja piękna Warszawo.”
