HOK London lands £1bn investment project at Gatwick Airport

The London arm of international design practice HOK has secured its position as Master Architect on an immense £1bn investment programme at Gatwick Airport to modernise facilities over the next three years. The firm comes to the role with significant experience in the transport and aviation sector, with successful design projects at London Heathrow, Cork Airport and Dublin’s Airport City.

Raymond Melee, Director of Capital Projects at Gatwick noted that HOK’s ‘considerable experience’ in aviation design was a key contributing factor in the selection process. This was reflected in a comment from HOK Director, Andrew Barraclough who explained: “HOK is committed to operational and architectural excellence and has a strong track record of delivering complex aviation and transportation projects that prioritise striking design with functional and practical considerations.”
