Event Date 07/04/2017

Location California African American Museum, 600 State Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90037

Country United States

Description In Architecture, everybody has equal opportunity to reach their full potential, right? Anyone and everyone can build their career completely based on the capacity of their merit, skill and talent, right?

Or, do inherent biases still linger deep?

The vision and objectives of ENCOMPASS will be to promote greater inclusion and celebrate the value of diversity in the architecture profession. We will highlight best-practices, examine case-studies of inclusive design procedures and curate a series of genuine and poignant dialogues that underscore solutions to counter the prevalence of discrimination that too often continues to divide A/E/C professionals.

The conference will allow us to candidly discuss diversity in our profession and dissect the reality of the situation. ENCOMPASS will also highlight the value-add that inclusive architecture brings to society and how we all gain from a diverse, multifaceted profession.
